My dream job ever since I have been a child
is to work in the fashion industry. I would love to be able to model for
agencies. Models employed by an agency can make on average, between $40k and
$50k a year. Professional photographers pay models around $150 to $250 a day. I have worked towards that goal by being on the Bel
Air Mall Teen Board for three years. My last year as a Teen Board member, I was
the Vice President. Throughout my years, I have done multiple fashion shows and
even did a prom photoshoot that was issued in Access magazine. My reality job
is to be a special education elementary school teacher. The median annual wage
for special education teachers is $55,060.
The lowest earned income was $36,740, and the highest income was more than
$87,390. I have worked with children and children with disabilities. I have
volunteered as a children’s Sunday school teacher, as a family experience
motions worker, and as a children’s camp counselor. I have volunteered at
multiple Special Olympics and special education days. I am hoping to work at
Camp Smiles this upcoming summer. My backup job would be a
cosmetologist. The Bureau of Labor
Statistics says that the median salary for cosmetologists is $22,500 per year. I enjoy doing
people’s hair and makeup and I do a very good job at it also. I think
cosmetology is something I could most definitely succeed in if everything else
fails.
